General & Others The possibility of a Zoro vs. Kanjuro match-up at some point!!!!

Kanjuro said that he will find Hiyori and kill her.

Can this lead to a fight between Zoro and Kanjuro? This hinges on Zoro acting as some sort of protector for Hiyori (seen twice, once with Kamazou and once more in the Plaza).

Of course, I am not saying this will be Zoro's ultimate fight in Wano (though I am not very fond of King).

It’s sumin to think about as I get the feeling that Zoro feels responsible for Hiyori but I don’t think it’s very likely. From a story telling perspective, I think it’d make more sense if Kanjuro gets taken out by the Scabbards. The fight would have more weight/emotion/meaning behind it that way I reckon and also allow the possibility for a potential Kanjuro redemption. Kanjuro v Zoro woulda been dope to see tho :p With Kanjuro’s abilities, Oda could make him as strong as he wants.

hell nah kanjuro is fighting Kinemon
This should be the only opinion on who gets Kanjuro. He betrayed the Scabbards after everything they went through in the past, AND Kin’emon still fought through the perils of Punk Hazard and worked to bring Doflamingo down without knowing that his closest friend, the man he traveled through time with so they could avenge their master, was a turncoat the entire time. He should not be denied the satisfaction of cutting Kanjuro down, and that panel is gonna be bad-ASS

The thing is we are almost at the 70th chapter of Wano and there are like 15 character that needs a fight on both sides*. I can see some of them defeating more than one opponent but the best we can hope for someone not named Luffy is to have a worthy opponent (King, Queen, Smoothie) and a fast warm up matchup (a Tobi roppo, a number).
Kanjuro is one the main villains, he needs to be someone's main enemy, Kinemon probably.

* Alliance: Luffy, Law, Kid, Drake, Sanji, Zoro, Jinbe, Robin, Chopper, Franky, Usopp, Brook, Nami, Inu, Neko, Kinemon and Denjiro

Enemies: Kaido, Big Mom, Smoothie, King, Queen, Jack, Perospero, Kanjuro, Daifuku, Fukurokuju, Orochi and Apoo

I get the sentiment and I do think Kin'emon will be heavily involved in Kanjuro's defeat, potentially even landing the final blow but I'm doubtful Kin is strong enough to beat Kanjuro on his own.

Hmm, do you think it’s more poetic if ALL the Scabbards (Denj-shiro included) strike the final blow? I feel like we’re downplaying Kin a little bit, but if that’s in the service of giving all of them the revenge they deserve, I can get behind that.

All the scabbards taking on Kanjuro might be a little to overkill :p. Kanjuro is only just a secondary antagonist. Plus 3 of the scabbards are about as strong as base Jack so I reckon the stronger scabbards like Ashura, Denjiro & Inu will go after the beast pirates and then Kin, Kiku and maybe Kawamatsu go after Kanjuro. At the very least I think it'd take two scabbards to take down Kanjuro. Kin is relatively strong, but Kanjuro's abilities are a bit too overpowered I feel.

It’s far more likely Kawamatsu acts on his own and goes back to Wano to protect her himself. He was the one given the task to protect her, not Zoro. Zoro’s main role is as one of the frontline fighters in the war.

That said, it’s entirely possible Kanjuro doesn’t carry out his threat in any capacity. These pre-emptive villain threats almost never work out.

And who ever will stop him are gonna a combination of the vassals. Strawhats have no strong connection to Kanjuro, so the weight of his betrayal doesn’t land when confronting any of them.
