I'm still betting that he took control of the SSG somehow and managed to save his crew and others, motivating people to join him and justifying the genius theme with him. It also would fit with another idea of Fuji going wrong.
This would give him external power (like most of his powerups) and at the same time justify why they are with him.

Him being called genius jester probably refers to recruiting Crocodile/Mihawk, and be the first known pirates to use the bounty system against marines.

Peobably Captain Johns treasure and Crocodile's possible mafia connections make it possible for the organization to keep that system, they are a strong group, they lack manpower but they are big brain group and got connections to make up for that.

The world rather preferred having a vacant seat for a year instead of just accepting BB as a Yonko candidate. It's not suddenly gonna change just because you want it to support your agenda.

It was not the world, it was bb and marco waiting to fight in the war, not some deadlock, but it doesn't matter, buggy got elevated because of croc and mihawk combined, so mihawk being yonko level is iffy.

He can't accept it because he knows Buggy is a weakling. He wouldn't complain if someone respectably strong is a Yonko. That's why he doesn't complain about Shanks being one even though he's weaker than Mihawk.

Buggy has mihawk and croc as subordinates, so clearly he doesn't respect them.
