I see a lot of assumptions about oda here. They think he thinks like them and make assumption about his intent and reasoning. There was some joke about the series becoming "Check point piece". This means it doesn't matter how, certain events will happen. I expect this because oda has claim it. Oda does not seem to be nonchalant about these events. The events are planed, and how we get there is where he thinks on his feet.

Not to many people have the resolve to fight a seemingly losing battle for 12 hours straight. That is what amazed me. You hate Carrot, you try to troll at every moment you can, do your worse.
