Warning: This game is intended to be decently fast paced and filled with action. You will know what I mean when you see the Lynches and Roles section. Mastery of these mechanics and roles are what will give you the edge against the enemy gender! Additionally, your contribution and activity will be required for your gender's victory.

Fame, Glory, Memes?! I left it all in that place! Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the first (of many, hopefully) installations of WG Memes Mafia, a deck building game hosted by Kekkologix.

This installation of the game will incorporate the legendary battle between boys and girls. To settle this everlasting battle, the boys and girls of WorstGen will unite their gender together to eliminate the opposing gender's forces once and for all, and show 'em whose the boss around here!


Main Gender Role PM and Main Game Thread:
- Genders are welcomed and encouraged to recruit players to join their team from all over the place. Once the signups are closed, each gender will have their separate "Main Gender Role PM" where all the players in that gender will discuss strategy, who will play which role, any questions they may have for me, or any secret communication words between them, and much more! This is your pre-game PM and will last roughly 72 hours or until both teams are ready to start.
- Yes you heard it right! All players will be able to pick exactly what role and alignment they wants to play as. Not only that, but there are roles that can allow players to change roles mid game! Discuss all strategy you have in your mind with your team before the game starts in the Main Gender PM.
- Once the game starts, most players/roles will not be able to post in their Main Gender PM anymore. Now you will have your own Role PM, Mason PM, and/or Mafia PM depending on what role you are playing. At that point, you will be able to post in the "Main Game Thread", where you go against the enemy gender's players. But worry not... There will be plenty of roles that can allow your gender some secret out of thread communications, or even allow you to communicate in the Main Gender PM during the game.
- While in the Main Game Thread, all players from both genders will talk among themselves and try to decipher the enemy gender's setup. The day phases are designed such that they can end very fast if majority is reached (check Lynches section). If a gender so wishes, they may end the phase in few minutes! But will that be advantageous?... I wonder fufufu ~



Lynches:
- This game runs a heavily customized majority lynch style. Majority here is calculated as 26% of the total number of living players in the game (from both genders, rounded up). Let's say for example, 24 total sum of players from both genders are alive. In that event, the "majority" will be 24*26% = 7 votes (rounded up) required on a wagon to hammer the lynch. If you are not good at math do not worry! I will announce the majority number required to hammer a lynch at the start of every day phase! This majority style is done so that a losing team can still hammer the lynch effectively without being crippled much by inactivity while the winning team can hammer easier if they keep on their streak without allowing them to snowball too much.
- At the end of each day, the top boy and girl wagons will be lynched. This means that once majority is reached on any player. That player is lynched AND the top wagon of the opposing gender to that player is lynched as well, even if majority was not reached on them. In essence, a wagon where a boy is lynched is called the "girl's lynch" and a wagon where a girl is lynched is called the "boy's lynch". Tied votes or no votes will result in no lynch for that gender. If a gender fails their lynch it means that they have failed to lynch a player from the opposing gender that day.
- Each gender is allowed to vote for players from their own gender if they so wish to speed up hammering their own member for various role related reasons
- While hammering the lynch quickly can catch the opposing gender off-guard forcing them into a non optimal lynch or even a no lynch, it can also lead your gender to a potentially terrible hasty lynch choice. Always consider your risks and benefits before speed hammering a lynch!
- If no majority is reached by the end of the day, both lynches will fail
- These lynch mechanics may be subject to small number modifications once the game reaches Final 7~9



Optimal Signups:
- The signup list will remain open to accommodate for as many boys and girls to join. The optimal numbers to start the game is 20 boys vs 20 girls, but the more the merrier. I am looking for a minimum of 16 boys vs 16 girls at the very least. If that also becomes unattainable then modifications to the setup/rules may be required. In particular, I will allow a player to play 2 roles at the same time OR allow the players to reincarnate once as another role when they die. Depending on the number of players who sign up we can decide what backup plan to go for. We can also just have players reincarnate even if the numbers are enough fufufu ~
- Players who identify as a Helicopter are welcomed to join, but for this game they will have to settle for a Boy or Girl side and pick one of the 2. Maybe a Helicopter gender can be added in the future lol.
- Players from all forums are welcomed to sign up. Please invite all your friends over. Let's make this game an annual thing where everyone can join. The more players, the more memes!
- If the numbers of one gender remain too low in compared to the other, the game might have to be split into Team 1 vs Team 2 rather than Boys vs Girls.

- Roles, Alignments, and Special Game Mechanics -

Categories:
The game is divided into 4 main categories of roles: Town, Mafia, Indies, and Cult. Each category will have multiple sub categories of it's own (Town Investigative, Mafia Godfather, Indie "Pro-Town", etc...). There will be a specified limit of number of roles that a gender can have in each certain sub category. For example, in a 16 boys vs 16 girls game. Each gender can only have at most 2 Town Investigative roles. The allowed number limit in each category will be specified assuming a 16~20 player per gender game. This number is subject to change depending on the number of players who sign up for the game. The categories will be more clear as you see the roles.


Role Types and Grouping:
Each role will have a specific role type attached to it. This will be shown in the bottom right of each role (not to confuse with Categories). For town roles, the role type is the same as the sub categories that they are grouped with (Leader, Core, Investigative, etc..). That's how town roles are grouped. This is however different for anti town roles, which are grouped strictly based on their unique sub categories not based on their role types. Check Post #3 of this thread for Mafia and Indie roles and grouping.


Win Conditions:
Town -
Your gender's town win condition is to eliminate the enemy gender's mafia and all "Pro-Town" or Mysterious indies. (see roles below).
Mafia - Your gender's mafia win condition is attain vote parity with the enemy gender's town, and eliminate all "Pro-Town" or Mysterious indies. (see roles below).
Indies - Each indie will have a unique win condition of their own outlined in the role. Most indie's win conditions are Game Ending and will automatically win the game for their respective gender.
*Cult - Each cult role will have a varying degree or modification of a general attaining majority win condition.

* : Cult roles are intended to be able to convert enemy gender's players into your gender. The cult has been disabled this game due to an estimated low number of signups, however I will display redacted versions of the cult roles in the role section for your amusements. These roles may appear in future WG Memes Mafia Games. If we are able to obtain 20 players per gender, I may re-enable the cult and reveal their abilities, categories, win conditions, and limits.


Role Related Facts/Interactions. [Will keep adding more as they come to mind]:
- Each role will specify if its actions are passives or actives, and will also outline which phase/time can the abilities can be used, if any. For more details on a specific role, please reach out to me via your Gender's Main Role PM before the game starts. After the game starts, you will have to use your own Role PM.
- There is no dead chat and re-subbing of dead players UNLESS what if a role can do that. See roles below.
- At the start of the game no roles can be duplicated in either gender's team, however there will be means to change roles throughout the game which could allow for duplicate roles to exist.
- If a player in your gender exhausted certain shots of a role, all other players in your gender who transform into that role later on will experience the exhausted shots. Think of it as roles are shared between the whole gender in terms of limited shots. This is to avoid spamming the same 1 shot over and over by transforming multiple players into the same role. But don't worry, there are roles that can help with managing/refilling shots if you are interested!

> Your understanding of the game will hopefully be better as you read the roles. I will be adding more elaborations to the OP as needed to break down this game's mechanics. I was trying not to have a lengthy OP but oh well lmao.


The Leader Mechanic:
- Before the game starts, each gender will assign one town player from their gender to be the Town Leader and one non town player to be the Scum Leader. These assignments are completely unrelated to what role these 2 players will be playing.
- During the first half of every night phase, the Town Leader can select 1 player from his gender (regardless of alignment) to protect from the actions of the enemy gender's non town players that night. This selection will be instantly announced in the write-up, showing the name of the protected player.
- During the first half of every night phase, the Scum Leader can select 1 player from his gender (regardless of alignment) to protect from the actions of the enemy gender's town players that night. This selection will be instantly announced in the write-up, showing the name of the protected player.

Double Roles:
Regardless of the numbers issue, all players will now use 2 roles per player. When picking your roles, you will assign one to be your "Primary" role and another to be your "Secondary" role. Both roles do not have to be in the same alignment. Each role is considered 1 life. A player will not fully die until he loses both his lives, however losing a life means you lose that particular role. Please note that a player will not join the mafia chat unless both their Primary and Secondary roles are mafia, or he started with a Mafia role and another role, but that other role died leaving only the mafia role alive. If his other role was revived he will still remain in the chat. If you want a mafia role and another role but still want to be in the mafia chat you can start with a double mafia role then have a role shifter from your gender change your one of your roles into another role. It's supposed to be a team game ^^. Separated mafia members can vote to perform the factional kills if they so wish.

You control both roles however you wish. You can even target one role with the other role that you own. Treat the roles as 2 separate players in 1. When you target another player, you have to always specify do you want to target their primary or secondary role. Mass passive effects like Field Spells will affect both primary and secondary roles together. You can also do things like redirect a player's first role to their secondary role. Again treat them like 2 different players!

Now lets say you want to kill a player. You can say Kill @playername 's primary role. If the kill succeeds, that player's primary role will flip into the thread as normal. Except they will not fully die until the second role dies as well. When reviving players, you have to revive one specific dead role, either primary or secondary. Basically keep treating roles as completely different players in one body. Player list will be regularly updated with the players and all roles flipping.

When a player is lynched, the lynch automatically yeets the Primary role. That role dies and flips. The player still remains alive, unless their secondary role is dead as well. If that player has a Secondary role but their Primary role is dead previously, then the lynch will yeet the secondary role.

Each player will have a voting power of 2. Or however much voting power is the total of both their primary and secondary. Again treat the roles like completely different players played by 1 person. When a role dies, that player loses the voting power of that role

The Town Leader and Scum Leader will be the 2 players assigned as a the Leaders by their gender. Those players will only lose his leader status when both of their roles are dead. When a Town or Scum Leader protects a player, both roles of that player get protected.

Finally the limits of roles per team has been almost doubled. A team of 16 will control 32 roles at the start of the game. the number of allowed town/mafia/indie/secret/extra roles have all been increased accordingly!

2. Town Core - 2 roles

1~2 per gender
> Town Core roles are specialized in keeping your gender's town abilities coordinated or used with maximum efficiency. These roles are capable of uniting town roles together in different ways. Town together always stronk.



3. Town Role Shifter - 4 roles
Limit:
1~3 per gender
> Smells like a brand new role in here, Mr. Stark! The Role Shifters are your gender's primary tools to get a brand new role mid game!







4. Town Investigative - 3 roles
Limit:
0~3 per gender
> These mech specialists are your town's best bet at gathering intel about the enemy gender's team.





5. Town Supportive - 4 roles
Limit:
0~3 per gender
> These roles specialize in assisting and enabling the other players in your gender to excel more in dominating the enemy gender.







6. Town Troll - 6 roles
Limit:
0~5 per gender
> Town Troll roles abide by no mortal rules. They are the embodiment of chaos itself! If you don't know what the hekko you are doing, how is the enemy gender supposed to know what the hekko you are doing?!











7. Town Voting - 4 roles
Limit:
0~3 per gender
> Town Voting roles come into play by stacking the odds against the enemy gender in terms of making it harder for them to achieve lynch hammers or end game parities, or instead help your gender in that regard.







8. Town Protective - 3 roles
Limit:
0~3 per gender
> Tired of dying too much? these bad boy protective roles specialize in keeping your gender's town safe from harm, that's usually kills.





9. Town Chad - 2 roles
Limit:
0~2 per gender
> These roles are too giga chads for the gender. They are good at keeping the enemy gender in check and crippling down their movements.



10. Town Field Spell - 4 roles
Limit: 0~3 per gender
> Town Field Spells are roles that have the capability of affecting massive number of players passively just for being alive.







11. Town Vigilante - 3 roles
Limit: 0~3 per gender
> Want to yeet someone into the sun? Look no further. The Town Vigilante roles are equipped with tools that can allow them to net multiple kills if utilized properly.

Mafia Roles - 18 roles
Limit: 5~9 starting mafia roles per gender for 13 vs 13. (20%~35% of the total roles (26)), however only a payer with double mafia roles can join the mafia chat, or a player who started with a mafia role and another role and that other role died, leaving the mafia role alone.

Pick the Godfather that fits your mafia team the most. An active Godfather will have the final say in night actions and factional kill, if they so wish to veto previous actions/factional kill.







2. Mafia Chaos Lord - 6 roles
Limit:
0~5 per gender
> These roles can wreck havoc in the game thread and strike fear in the hearts of kawaii townies if utilized properly.











3. Mafia Damage Control - 4 roles
Limit:
0~3 per gender
> These roles can either directly help keep your team alive longer or cripple your opposition, effectively helping your team last as long as possible.







4. Mafia Hyper Carry - 4 roles
Limit:
0~3 per gender
> These roles get stronger or allow their team to get stronger the longer they remain alive. They shine best in the late game. A true Hyper Carry!

> Indie McMuffiner roles are potentially game ending indie roles that are considered generally non harmful for the purpose of this game and will not count towards parity, nor stop the game from ending if a non indie faction from the enemy gender has achieved their win condition.







2. Indie "Pro-Town" - 4 roles
Limit:
0~3 per gender
> Indie "Pro-Town" are harmful game ending indie roles that fool others in a swag attempt to pass as "Pro-Town" indies. They can possess abilities that will inflict damage to the enemy gender and their presence will stop the game from ending for enemy gender's town and mafia factions.







3. Indie Mysterious - 3 roles
Limit:
0~2 per gender
> Mysterious indies with unknown win conditions and abilities. They may be your greatest allies, or... your gender's downfall. They will stop the game from ending for the enemy gender's town and mafia factions until they are eliminated. They may potentially stop your own gender from winning. Their win conditions and abilities will be revealed to the player that picks them from the start or transforms into them mid game. Indie Mysterious win conditions and abilities will change from game to game from a pool of possibilities.

> The following roles do not belong to a single alignment, and has the option to exist in different alignments depending on the game state. They will not count towards any factional limit.



2. Extra The Secrets Roles - 4 roles
Limit:
0~2 per gender for 13 vs 13. (0%~10% of total roles(26)). Each Secret role created will count towards that alignment's faction limit.
> The following roles are created by the players under the Memelord host's supervision. Members of each gender can discuss with their gender in the Main Gender Role PM to create these roles before the game starts. These roles can be created before the game starts and kept in the gender's card pool to enable players to transform into them mid game, however, they may not be created mid game.

Update 1 - Double Roles:

Update 2 - Requirements to join the mafia chat:

Please note that a player will not join the mafia chat unless both their Primary and Secondary roles are mafia, or he started with a Mafia role and another role, but that other role died leaving only the mafia role alive. If his other role was revived he will still remain in the chat. If you want a mafia role and another role but still want to be in the mafia chat you can start with a double mafia role then have a role shifter from your gender change your one of your roles into another role. It's supposed to be a team game ^^

Separated mafia members can vote to perform the factional kills if they so wish.
