I am not sure if you create this thread for real or just to mess with people who were in ZKK theory..
If i remember correctly there must be a thread of SKS, how about we fuse them and have a proper z vs s, of who is going to kill shanks?

Opinions always need fuel. Not fuel from the community but fuel from the manga. And tbh I don't see Shanks vs Zoro here. I dont know how Oda would fuel that idea. So in my case I cant have an opinion on it. But it is pretty clear for me that Shanks would wash his ship with Zoro.

- How will Zoro defeat him? Any powerup? Any hidden techniques? Any tactics?

- How will this affect your powerscaling about Zoro?

- How will this affect the One Piece narrative?

No its not going to happen. If by a chance the RHP and SHP meet they will exchange blows since Luffy promised Shanks he will beat his crew with one of his own. So maybe maybe there is a slight chance that Zoro gets to "Spar" and only "Spar" with Shanks. But what i am more sure of is Shanks talks with Zoro about Mihawk how they used to duel and how Shanks couldn't beat him and stuff then wishes him luck. Then Luffy beats Shanks in 1v1 "Foxy style fight".

That way Oda finally hypes up Mihawk since it came from Shanks.

Yea well some stuff about my view:

- Luffy wanting to surpass Shanks as a crew leader and inspiration figure also meant that he must surpass Shanks individually in a decisive match

- Shanks' CoC was emphasized more than his sword since the first chapters

- Shanks will chase One Piece

These 3 points convince me quite a bit that Luffy is the one that defeat Shanks

However:

- Shanks is a swordsman as well

- during the climax of future arc, Luffy might be way too burdened against Blackbeard while Shanks also enters the fray. So in that scenario, there should be someone who decisively beat Shanks.

- Law or Kidd might be the one to do it, but the swordsman stuff match Zoro more compared to Law or Kidd (if we ignore Luffy or BB as contenders to beat Shanks)

- Oda likes to suBveRT eXpECTation
