Whenever someone dies everyone always say RIP and they are in heaven smiling down at their love ones. If people use their brains they would know this is two contradictory statements. When you rest in peace you are sleeping but if you are heaven you are clearly not sleeping. The truth is absolutely beautiful when you accept it.
So rather than discuss this lets go the bible and see what Jesus our LORD has to say.

I will have the scriptures in green and Jesus statements from the new testament will be in red. I will also bold things that you should pay attention to from the scripture.

5. I wanted this to be in two parts because first you need to understand that there is more than one heaven.
LETS GET STARTED
Genesis 1: 1 - 2
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
When we define void it means completely empty so it was just pitch black water. The image below is to represent what God means because water does not have form it takes the shape of whatever we put it in and that's just common sense.
Genesis 1: 3 - 4
3 And God said, let there be light and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good and God divided light from darkness.
5 And God called the light Day and the darkness he called Night. And evening and the morning were the first day.
So far I think everything is easy. So now God is lighting this darkness to divide day and night. Notice he said evening and morning because that is how God counts days; man count days from midnight to midnight and you can't even tell the difference between 11:59pm and 12:00am. Images below of light being shined upon the waters.
Genesis 1: 6 - 8
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day
So God made a firmament and called it Heaven. Notice I did not interpret anything, whatever God called it is what it is so image below to represent what it looks like.
Genesis 1: 9
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
Jesus said let the waters under the heaven so clearly he is talking about the firmament that he calls heaven. So in the image above all waters were moved together. Then the dry land appeared. When something appears it means it was already there but hidden. Now we have the earth in the image below.
Everything else is talking about what God made at the 3rd day so lets jump down.
Genesis 1: 14
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
Hold up a minute why is God making light again? In verse 3 we saw that God clearly made light. I will tell you why, God is the original scientist because he made the firmament the light he made from Genesis 1: 3 is being blocked the waters above the firmament. Whenever you go in the sea the deeper you go, the darker it gets and that's why God had to make light in the firmament, so that we could see. If God did not make the sun and the moon we would be in complete darkness because the waters above the heaven is blocking the light from the 3rd Heaven. Lets add the image so we can see it.
Genesis 1 : 20
And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
So there are fowls flying in the open firmament of the heaven. Obviously this is the sky. So if you want to go to heaven then take a plane or jump.
Now lets get some precepts on how many Heavens are present
2 Corinthians 12: 2
2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
So the heaven where Jesus is currently living is the 3rd Heaven. lets take a look at another precept
Psalms 148: 3 - 5
3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.
5 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.
Heavens of heavens? Hmmm this in itself should let people know there is more than 1 heaven. Waters is above the firmament as I said earlier so he is talking about the 2nd heaven here. This is biblical proof that what we call the sky is in fact heaven. So lets find out where the first heaven is located.
Deuteronomy 30: 1, 3 - 5
1 And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath driven thee,
3 That then the Lord thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee.
4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the Lord thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:
5 And the Lord thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.
So the Earth is heaven. This makes Earth is 1st heaven so that's three. Lets get another witness.
2 Peter 3: 3 - 5
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
Wait the Earth is standing out of the waters? The heavens were of old? Because the Earth is the 1st heaven as you read in Genesis 1: 9
Those are the 3 Heavens. So when I said nobody is going to heaven I'm really talking about the 3rd heaven because we already standing on Heaven. When we die we go back into the Earth where we came from.
Genesis 3: 19
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

When someone gets buried that's where they stay until the LORD comes so atheists' has one thing right. When you die it's like a state of nothingness because it's as if you are sleeping.
