WSS is world strongest swordsman for a reason. We know mihawk's character and if he thought shanks was stronger he wouldn't think of himself as the strongest and he'd still actively be trying to fight shanks. From the moment he was introduced as WSS and zoro's goal shanks could never be stronger than him and it make sense. It's only people that can't let there favorite be weaker than someone that's been arguing against basic logic over a decade now.
