Shanks has no df, doubt he has much strength with one arm. He has haki and his sword.
One of the first skills Mihawk taught Zoro was coating his sword with arm. haki and denied him liquor until he achieves this.
We know Shanks can channel his conq. using his sword, and it's naturally what top tier swordsmen do.
The question is, how can Shanks compete with Mihawk when he has a physical handicap, being outskilled and an inferior sword?

If Roger's CoC was above mihawk he would be wss since CoC is main requirement for WSS and Zoros fighting style is advCoC based.

Unlike Luffy Roger was a mature man who had travelled the sea for 30 years. I'd guess his partner taught him swordsmanship to make him a more rounded fighter but I'm sure his main fighting style lies elsewhere. He was just fighting the samurai with a samurais weapon and used it against WB for the clash.
Just like WB can use his bisento but isn't a swordsman, same with Big Mom. I'd also add Law to this category. And we already saw Law being brought up as a rounded fighter being taught martial art, swordfencing and sniping.
If Luffy was more mature like Roger he could have had Nidai kitetsu now and Zoro could have taught him a technique or two. It would certainly help eliminate Luffys weakness to cutting attacks. Overall Luffy would be stronger than Zoro but in a pure swords duel Zoro would of course crush him.
