Blackbeard being this era's Xebec is obvious, but here are more in detail parallels between the crewmates too
1. Blackbeard and Xebec: no need to explain this one

2. Shiryu and Whitebeard: alpha chin energy, both wield good blades and have a df, Shiryu is not trustworthy according to Blackbeard, same case definitely with Whitebeard and Xebec. There's no way Oda will put a stain on Whitebeard's name by having him participate in Xebec's schemes, and Roger and Garp would probably never win if Wb fought them.

The biggest parallel is the fact that Devon, Wolf and Vasco Shot were regarded as big name pirates before their capture, and BB recruited them similar to how Xebec recruited similar individuals back in his days.

Otherwise don't see much of that beyond that

If that tenth captain turned out to be caribou spying on straw hats and giving teach the info about both ancient weapons and luffy having three RP the story will take a wild turn

Yeah. My reasoning for Kuzan joining is because the BBP already number 10, same with the Strawhats. So the 10th captain should be someone that wouldn't fight the Strawhats when the time comes.

Only shiryu and sanji's opponent who ever they are going to be will be relevant and even then at best a YC1+

But yeah the point is Oda will probably make some huge ass pulls to make SHs the strongest crew in existance and naturally that'd make BBPs = Rocks

I dont want to downplay BBP but the crew needs some good portayal and they need it fast, because BB having a 3rd fruit or some badass awakening of Yami/Gura is not elevating his crew. Oda missed the opportunity in the cover stories and we could have BBP demolishing the BMP instead of a Kata/Oven & Germa battle.

For now we have to wait and see what was this "we should take it before the Marines" thing but if its not something really important Oda would have miss another opportunity.

About the Aokiji thing iirc isnt he just an ally or something like this and not an official member of the crew ? It would make more sense to me that a man like him would "ally" & helping/providing info not only to BBP but even Revos etc instead of serving under someone.

Shiryu's df awakening will bend space and time, he'll kill Mihawk abd absorb his sword into his own. Maybe uses a cheapshot against Mihawk who knows. Honestly my Shiryu wank took a bullet to the head. I never believed in a mihawk Zoro fight as I thought it would be cringe, but with 1058, not because Mihawk was proven strong I always knew that, but I realized how ruthless Mihawk is, so a fight with Zoro wouldn't be as cringe as thought.

But if this happens Shiryu becomes pk level aka Primebeard (or a slightly weaker version)
Jesus Burgess with devil fruit = young Kaido without DF
Devon most dangerous woman in the world can match up to a young linlin potentially
Pizzaro might be a yc1+ who's relative to Shiki
Rest are vague

I don't know man but BBPs are the only crew that resembles the strawhats in structure, they're hunting op devil fruits, they potentially have the shadow fruit to boost their overall power and defeating the RHPs will boost them tremendously

Oda is gay and will try to make the SHs the mightiest crew ever and this is the only way :yasu:
