Character Discussion Zoro's journey to his ambition be like

These Z-boys really need to be smacked in the face with a book on the concept of Martial Arts. They truly in their hearts believe that Mihawk is the Strongest Swordsman in the World cause he lifts weights, and can swing his sword really hard.... :milaugh:

Kuina was totally beating adults because for some reason, as a child, she was physically stronger than them, but as she grows older, she will become physically weaker than them.... Lmao

If I was on team Mihawk, I'd be defending my stance on him much better. Yall so worried about people arguing Shanks has stronger Haki, which I would reply that, that doesn't matter, as Luffy, with no haki defeated the Boa sisters, because he was a better fighter. Instead yall are doing dumbshit like trying to argue that how skilled someone is with a sword, doesn't matter in a sword fight.

@Shanal
Swordsmanship skills need to involve cut / slashing, if they don't involve cut / slashing, then it doesn't meet the WSS criteria.

Mihawk cuts better than Shanks only. Shanks' CoC blasts destroy Mihawk.

Mihawk hype is about him being the strongest swordsman and Zoro's (a SH) objective
Snitch hype is about his crew and the fact he fought Mihawk in the past (😂) and the fact he gave Goofy an old used straw hat
--------
Zoro to Mihawk: "I'll supress you!"
Goofy to Snitch: "My crew will supress your crew "

@Tejas where are you? Did the copium finally overhelmed you body? Lol

So explain to me why zoro is still using the same skills (attacks) as pre skip

That have been boosted by either haki or physical strength
You know from all the weights he's been lifting.

You can't defend shit.

Says who? Give me a single manga panel or official source or anything in 20+ years of history of One Piece which says that?

There's an official source which calls a blasting technique swordsmanship. You can disagree, but it got a lot of backing by Oda than you or me and it has nothing which contradicts it.

There's not a single instance in entire manga history which says swordsmanship is limited only to cutting.

The peak of swordsmanship is apparently "cutting only when you want to" and having "slashes that cut nothing", as well. As proven in Alabasta.

Being skilled matters. Yet nothing about Mihawk's title is being skilled only. WSS is a title of who wins, and Zoro will do it using all three forms of haki.

Not sure what people think about this thread but this is mocking people who say Mihawk is only skilled but not strong.

Kuina wouldn't become weaker than those adultos she defeated. It is stupid to think like that. But Zoro as a man would grow stronger than Kuina.

It is true that Mihawk doesn't necessarily needs to have better haki than Shanks. But both are swordsmen and Mihawk is the strongest of the world. Therefore he is stronger than Shanks somehow.

Damn, y'all still don't see the truth. In Zoro's final fight against Mihawk, they will turn off armament haki/conqueror's coating and they won't use observation haki at all. Mark my words.

Whose arguing that Mihawk is only skill and nothing else?

I've never seen anyone claim Mihawk will be physically weak, or not have any Haki....

But you guys acting like skill, in a specific fighting style, is secondary to other aspects of fighting, is absurd.

Like the WSS is the only person in existence who doesn't actually have to be any good at their fighting style, to be the strongest in their fighting style, lmao.

People argue WSS is a title of skill instead of simply being the stronger swordsman aka who wins.

Ofc he needs to be good at his skills. But WSS is ultimately the swordsman who wins lol. Zoro will get it by beating Mihawk.

That's true, but at the end of the day, Zoro is not going to surpass Mihawk in all manner of combat, just like with every other fights in the series. Each character holds an advantage in one way or another. No one character comes out of the fight completely superior to their opponent.

And if say, Oda decides that Mihawk and Zoro will be equal in all combat stats like strength, speed, haki etc, because that's the route he wants to go. Then what is going to determine the winner of the fight?

Ofc. That pretty much adds to my point. That WSS isn't about being above in one thing or another, but just overall.

For example, Mihawk could still have more skills than Zoro EoS (I don't think he will, but just saying), and Zoro might still win and get the title due to other factors.

And yeah, if they're matched in everything but skill, then the one with more skills wins obv.
