Then we have a problem. Saying Luffy > Zoro is not gonna hurt Zoro fans (specially since Luffy beat Kaido), but if Luffy fans' stance is (and that seems to be the case) Luffy >> Zoro, then war is inevitable.

Somewhat true. I still have Zoro at 60% of Luffy after Wano. I usually have Zoro at 90-100% of Luffy.
