General & Others No Mihawk in the Oden Flashback?

#1
Did you find it strange that Mihawk the future strongest swordsmen in the world, never appeared during the Oden Flashback?
Oden was very likely to be a contender for the tittle of WSS, being the strongest swordsman in the strongest crew. And according to the Vivre Card Mihawk was already well know and making a name for himself during Roger's time. Is it weird the two never met?
Even on Whitebeard's ship Oden was one of the major players in the crew. But still no Mihawk.
And even if he met him during his time on either ship, you would think it would be important enough for us to see? Right.

I doubt he cared, like most relevant swordsmen.

As weird as Mihawk and Vista never meeting until Marineford, and they had plenty of time.

They never met and personally I find no reason for Oda to include Mihawk in the flashback.

It's not strange at all once you realise only Zoro and perhaps one or two people in the entire manga have expressed interest in the title.

It's not about the tittle, it more that Mihawk has been searching for strong swordsman, to fight against and get better, Oden would have been a great person for that.
Even almost like an inspiration for him. Seeing his strength.

What if he went for ray instead ?

He could, maybe that's when he began his rivalry with Shanks. But Oden travelled with Oden for the final year of his crew, so why didn't we see him at all.
My own personal headcanon.
I believe mihawk is ray and shakkys son.
I believe ray trained shanks like he did luffy.
Theres something that bugs me about rays past where hatchi had to save his life when he was shipwrecked. This is a man at 70 who swam the calm belt. So someone must have put him in a state.
Ray being shanks teacher and mihawks father makes sense narratively from their rivalrly too.

Yeah, I don't think it's that weird. Oden/WBP may not have come across him, he may have been too young, and that title either didn't exist then/belonged to someone else who Oden and Mihawk could not beat at the time/wasn't something Oden sought and therefore gaining it wouldn't require Mihawk beating him. There are far more ways to explain it not happening than those that would justify them crossing paths.

At what age was Mihawk when Oden was cruising with WB and then with Roger?

Also you might consider that Oda didn't have time to insert Mihawk in there.

Mihawks like a year or 2 older than shanks.
How old were shanks and buggy when they read the newspaper on wb and oden ?
