Tbh, Law is definitely not just a swordsman imo. He uses his DF predominantly and just uses his sword to channel his DF powers. There are some moves where he doesn't even use his sword.
And this is where we encounter a greater problem. That being, What does oda consider a swordsman. King, despite using a sword, didn't consider himself to be a swordsman. And Zoro accepted that. So, if Law doesn't consider himself to be a swordsman, he ain't one.
And that is oda replying to a fanart. So its canonicity is a questionable.
