How could Smoker be more mature when he and coby went into the new world at the same time? How exactly is he more mature than coby when in 2 years coby wields a rank higher than his (smokers) prerineskip ever since Smoker been in the marines? The sbs stated that marine captains at marine hq are more powerful and more experience than marine captains located else where. To be exact marine hq captains are 4 ranks higher than the marines captains located else where. They are also more experienced.
Is Smoker experience fighting or being in the presence of a yonko? No.
What ever experience Smoker has c9by currently has: leading people of lower rank, sailing the new world with subordinates. Hell coby on paper has more experience protecting people for the reverie. Something Smoker has never been shown doing. So the experience you speak of don't exist

I meant emotional maturity. Not strength lol. Smoker is a man with conviction and clear and strong ideals. Coby in comparison is still a naive kid. He can't even consider luffy as a full fledged enemy.
