Doffy was a great antagonist in Dressrosa and he might still break out and have a role to play.

The relevancy argument is terrible since the mc of the series disagrees with you and a new yonko whom is the enemy of said mc disagrees with you. Amy one whome blackbeard seeks or or captures provides relevancy to the plot moving foward. Oda literally wrote "ok boa I can't have your fruit?
