I don't know if Starkiller was in the legends I didn't dig that deep but in the games, he defeats Vader in both endings of Force Unleashed either 1 or 2.

There is an even crazier dude than Palpatine in the Legends from the Sith side of the fence.

Overall Jedi/good guys or whatever you want to name it are shit in Star Wars. Dark side of the force only loses because of their fuck ups not necessarily losing to Jedi or whatever.
