It’s the Yukari civilization, a small city state of several hundred years ago, they stated clearly that it was during WG’s time, and it’s area is under WG’s rule

Yup, Chapter 0 does a great job of at least showing that he was a very strong character.....then Luffy fights him pre-timeskip and it kind of trashes the idea that he stood up to Roger/Admirals.

This is why I hope he comes back to the Manga and continues his portrayal from Chapter 0. Though it would be cool if he was an ally this time around, a better way to portray him IMO (while also not making his character redundant), and giving the alliance a better chance at winning this arc.

Movie strong world did dirty his portrayal.
I know noncanon and these stuff,still I would prefer a duo battle with Garp+Luffy vs Shiki and beating him,it would make more sense. But overall it was just the movie so.
