A fight would suggest the people combating are strong or even close to each other. Kidd is not and thus is won't be considered a fight on Saint Shanks end.

The difference is that Saul was frozen by a friend who specifically used a move called "Ice Time Capsule", while Kaido and Big Mom bathed alive in magma and got caught up in a volcanic eruption, with no one around to save them.
