If you people study books written by others and then use that knowledge to build something so does that stain your IQ or achievements?

This is such a shallow perspective.

I don't see any stain.

One has to build knowledge and reading books has always been the best way. vP read all the books of Ohara which itself reflects on how great of a scientist he is - curiosity+ never ending zeal to learn + applying knowledge

If you have books that no one else has that give you considerable knowledge you have an unfair advantages over your peers.

And, so what?

How does that stain him?

To get those resources he proved himself - first by developing good network and second by proving himself worthy to be employed by WG as a scientist.

It's not like he deliberately kept those books away from public - It's the WG

FYI, Both Newton and Einstein had resources available to them which were not available to most people + they also build their theories on the work of their predecessors

So does this stain whatever they achieved? No

VP read books but he also carried forward Ohara research - literally in the manga.

Manga - he is the leader of SSG and greatest scientist

Worstgen users - he read books so he is fraud :pepecopium:

It's like Formula 1.

If all the drivers had the best car would they all achieve the same results? No, some would do it better than others.

If all the drivers had the worst car would they all place the same as with the best car? No, because only some can make use of a top car to it's fullest while others can achieve more with lesser equipment.

I'm certain only Vegapunk could of used the books to it's fullest but it is plausible he wouldn't have been no1 on a budget (I still believe he would have been).

Judge > Caesar > vegapunk.

Vegapunk knowledge ain't out of his curiosity or something it's a science from somewhere else.

Whereas judge was succesful in DNA manipulation by himself. Caeser creating Df without vegapunk.
