Tbf the Vinsmokes trained hard all their lives. Granted they also have the genetical advantage, but they still trained. Sabo pre Mera as well.

Oda draws characters training but ultimately Oda at his core believes people’s destinies are determined by birth and hard work means pretty much nothing.

Just look at Zoro: he trains like a madman but no amount of training could prepare him to beat King, Zoro only beat King because he just so happened to be born with CoC (1 in a million chance).

Without CoC Zoro maxes out at Denjiro tier, but thank goodness Zoro was born with a 1 in a million power that elevates him above Denjiro and allowed him to defeat King (who was also only stronger than Denjiro because he was born a Lunarian) lol.

Look at every single character Oda has ever written and I guarantee you that character’s birth was what determined their lot in life, with hard work and training being an insignificant factor.
