With that cliffhanger, oda is definitely baiting an emotional twist and I fear its him getting offscreened and ideally only captured and not killed.

It's very frustrating that Oda has cut away from it and for so long now. Just like the Reverie or Blackbeard vs Ace, we're gonna have wait to find out/hear what happened potentially.
