I think the core story of the chapter is real with Lucci and Luffy clashing but some embellishments for the sake of agenda have been added.

Lucci being scared, Akainu holding Kizaru back the exact same way as during Wano, Lucci being completely knocked out, and Lucci wanting to leave at the end of the chapter seem way too far fetched for them to happen all in one chapter.

My guess is that Lucci and Luffy fight, Lucci gets confused or disoriented by how weird and wacky Luffy's Gear 5th is, and does lose out in the clash and gets either knocked through a wall or into that tower that controls the angel warlords. With it only cutting to CP0 clashing with the angel warlords and sentomaru instead of a 1 for 1 repeat of Akainu preventing Kizaru from getting involved.

And since Lucci is awakened we'll get DF lore on that and through his reaction to Gear 5th.

That all seems like the more realistic course of events this chapter

Though of course we need to see the raws to confirm it so things can honestly go anywhere at this point

I hate to compare high art like Dark Souls to shit like One Piece but I think this is a pretty apt comparison:

So in Dark Souls 1, one of the first bosses you fight is the Taurus Demon, it is this giant monstrous demon bull that can fuck your shit up when you’re a low level. It is a big challenge early on that is quite imposing.

As you approach the mid/late game though, you reach a point where the game throws literally like 6 Taurus Demons at you all at once, but by that point, your character is so powerful and you’ve gotten so good that you pretty much just roll over all 6 at once. The Taurus Demon(s) serve to illustrate how much you have grown as a player, what was at first a giant and overwhelming challenge later just becomes a mild hindrance (there are many other “progress” enemies like this in from games but just a quick example).

Lucci is the Taurus Demon. He was a powerful pre timeskip enemy that Luffy had to unlock multiple new Powerups to beat, but post timeskip he gets Tom and Jerry diffed to show us how far Luffy has come.

Do I like it? I don’t like really anything about One Piece, but I at least understand what Lolda is trying to do. I imagine if I were stupid enough to be a Luffy fan, this would be a great chapter. @Seth

And? Did you know how long he was traveling? He was there to warn Moria and he even said mid conversation that he knew they would come there from leaving Water 7. It's not unsurprising to imagine he left days before.

Again, I'm not saying he doesn't teleport literally, but that's not how his powers work. Even last chapter showed he uses his powers on himself.

- Kaku wants to help Lucci because he is fighting a Yonkou, but Lucci ignores him and continues to fight alone.

This looks like Ulti and Page-One versus Luffy in Wano...

But the difference is that Kaku didn't step in so he wouldn't get shot by Luffy either, because he had a role to play after the massacre Lucci suffered, which is to carry him and run for the hills.LMFAOOOOOOOOOO

I don't think VP know that CP0 is retreating .
Plus they only retreating cause SH are there .
The were going to kill VP but VP get the info and want to leave .
VP lucky that luffy and he crew show up and CP0 was unlucky that they were there.

Plus even if they retreating the can come back with even more people and there no SH to protect him .
