My man, this is a One Piece forum, this ain't the oscars. I couldn't give two shits who anybody is. I'm basing my opinions not on him spreading fake spoilers, but more on him playing his little games saying "if shit is fake you know who to trust" while at the same time posting this emoji and then dipping. Doesn't bode well when the main provider doesn't respect his own community.

The only logical answer for Linlin/Kaido not having awakening is this;

Mind and body need to grow / match the fruit of the user to awaken it.

Linlin's mentally deficient and in deep denial about eating her childhood friends + her caretaker.
Kaido is suicidal and deeply troubled by his past battle with Oden.
(King is likely too subservient for a ferocious ancient zoan fruit to awaken)

So the only explanation I can reasonably... Somewhat accept (but am still not happy with) is that Linlin & Kaido's personality flaws prevented them from awakening their fruits. I hate it, I think it's dumb, but if Oda dropped a text bubble and explained it that way, I'd get over it.

Lucci having awakening just to get ragdolled, get back up and run away is ass though. CP0 better not leave Egghead after this wasted time on them, that'll be Greenbull 2.0 in terms of plots that go no where.

Here is my problem with this, so someone like katakuri can use FS 24/7 because how strong mentally is, he gained that by training.

like kaido knows the way, he never tried to be more stable mentally to Awaken his fruit? Doesnt he want to get as strong as possible and start a world war?

Kenpachi and Ikkaku

Kenpachi was really a special exception, and in the end he still got it.
And Kenpachi not having bankai is not as bad as Kaido / BM don't have awakening.. Kaido was easily Top 5, most people agreed he was Top 1 pre Wano arc. That's like Yamamoto or Ichibei doesn't have bankai, not Kenpachi..
Kenpachi was not in peak before TYBW arc, both Kaido and BM were in their prime in Wano arc.

Ikkaku is special exception too because he doesn't want to get promoted.

You get the point, genius.

The stronger Kaido, BM, and King are, the less sense it is if they don't have awakening.
Sure, not every Yonko should have higher stats than their crewmember. King has higher dura than Kaido. Katakuri has higher CoO than BM. Marco can fly while Whitebeard can't. Etc.
But it is really shit when characters like Kaido, BM, King don't have awakening while losers like Lucci, coward like Doffy, scrubs like ID beasts have it.

I am quite ok if they lack even in areas even those as significant as a df awakening
If there are other abilities that make them what they are.

its that simple . quite frankly it begins to get boring if everyone that's top has some awakening
variety is nice.

big mom born as an abnormally
personally much more preferable than every high/top tier having df awakening, advanced haki all three types etc. sorry you feel differently.

I mean he fought a Yonko now. The guy who fought and defeated Kaido, would undermine all Luffy went through if Lucci can still avoid being ragdolled by a Yonko.

I think he's still generally commander level tho. But we know how most of them shown so far would fare against yonko so tough luck for him.

As for role, could be something as simple as showing the growth and comparison between Luffy now and a buffed Lucci.

This could lead to the WG taking heavy action with Luffy having Vegapunk.

His role was sealed. He wasn't gonna kill Vegapunk, and him putting up any fight against Yonko is a waste of time anyway what would be the goal of that?

Also Queen? He can change DF forms ( for black maria and maybe for king too cause its design is weird ) and had mastery over his fruit. It was weird how some characters dont have awakening.

Croco went against WB the second he could in Mf

Luffy put him down 2 years ago and likely step on his pride. Lucci wasn’t in smart mode but more in revenge more / pride mode

Different arsenal for different heavy hitters

Kaido and BM didn't have it.

Katakuri had it.

Maybe they should have had it, maybe not, but they still became top tier without that, Kata aint top tier even with awakening. Jailer beasts aren't top tier even with awakening, same with Lucci.
