It gets boring if everyone has all three advanced hakis imo. Because every advanced hakis are more or less the same (not sure about adv CoC) while most awakening are varied.
With Lucci we know zoans have a new form with awakening.

Not boring if every Top Tier and YC1 with DF has awakening. It is not like every Top Tier/YC1 has DF anyway.

I mean he fought a Yonko now. The guy who fought and defeated Kaido, would undermine all Luffy went through if Lucci can still avoid being ragdolled by a Yonko.

I think he's still generally commander level tho. But we know how most of them shown so far would fare against yonko so tough luck for him.

As for role, could be something as simple as showing the growth and comparison between Luffy now and a buffed Lucci.

This could lead to the WG taking heavy action with Luffy having Vegapunk.

His role was sealed. He wasn't gonna kill Vegapunk, and him putting up any fight against Yonko is a waste of time anyway what would be the goal of that?

It's logically consistent within the story but it's still a bad direction for the story to take. Lucci accomplishes nothing, this plotline seems to be aborted super fucking premature if Lucci is begging to leave the island by the end of this chapter and he's the strongest non-Seraph fighter there.

There's nothing clever or satisfying about Lucci getting stomped. If Lucci is too weak to take Luffy on, either write a better scenario where Lucci doesn't run into Luffy right away or give Lucci something underhanded to not become a doormat immediately.
