Why should we as readers make an assumption that someone is using awakening. All oda has to do is just write a dialogue mentioning a character is using awakening just like every other case.

Abilities such as soul pocus are base abilities amplified by haki. Kaido bulky form is probably a specific feature of hybrid form or maybe design choice to make him more intimidating.

Because they both fit the definition of zoan and paramecia awakenings we were given

If we say those aren't awakening abilities how do you think the awakening of the dragon and soul fruit would be like
