Plays like the oldest 31 year old I've seen in recent memory. Goes to show that if you don't work hard, take care of your diet etc you can lose it overnight and it's never a guarantee you can get it back.
He's already sooo washed after going to Madrid and get stuck to injuries. Key word : injuries.

Hazard was always a bit fat and chubby even in last world cup and he was absolutely 🔥🔥🔥 in that one

He was good in the last WC because, even without maintaining his body all that well, he still had the natural fitness to play at that level. He was only 26/27 - in his prime physically. As you get older, it's more important than ever that your process is correct, because suddenly recovery is not so easy. Injuries obviously happen, but a lot of the time they happen because of something missing in training and preparation. Hamstring and soft tissue/muscle injuries especially.

We have begun to take for granted that people will play well into their thirties at a high level, not just from football, but from seeing the likes of tennis players (Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Serena Williams) and NFL players (Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers) playing until they're close to 40 (or past 45, in the case of Brady), but that only happens because they take care of their bodies so well throughout their career. Ronaldo at 38 is a good example of this, though it seems time has caught him. In this case, Hazard probably never quite had the same drive, which is why he'll probably be retired by the time he's 35.

I agree though overall

Ronaldo a good example, none works hard as him but he's really finished, I guess that's the limit in football.

Hazard is probably getting benched and rarely plays for RM, then retire or plays for small clubs. It's sad ngl, one of the top players.

I guess we taking it for granted because nostalgia and how we grew up with them being top class. Thus the decline is hard to swallow
