One of the slept on Lucci feats this chapter is how his body resisted the Goofy circus showings unlike our previous villain. Examples:

Turned his eyes into rubber

Eyes on the run

Eye pop

During attacks his body turned rubbery

You can make a case for allies as they're not really engaged in combat and this is naturally the good old Goofy they know

On the other hand we have Lucci not falling for the classic eye pop

And his body didn't go rubbery when Goofy landed this hit

Two possible scenarios imo:
1. Only awakened zoans can resist the goofiness, meaning even ruthless characters like Sakazuki, Mihawk and Crocodile would be affected by the goofiness.
2. Oda really doesn't respect Crydo, whereas he acknowledges that Lucci is a serious character and would be weird for him to fall for these goofy antics.

Personally the second option makes a lot more sense until further notice.

Both possibilities are true. Crydo has no awakening, so he cannot resist awakening powers, and Lolda did everything humanly possible to solidify Crydo and his crew as complete and utter frauds, I feel pity for anybody who still takes the Beast Pirates seriously.

I've been telling people to stop overrating Luffy's fruit. On its own it doesn't hold a candle to the top tier logia's, especially when it comes to attack power/dealing damage. Luffy just has maxed out haki, with that combo of toon fuckery it becomes too much for nearly anyone to handle.

Heck Law's awakening on its own shits on Luffy's in dealing damage, Law barely has basic CoA, Luffy was spamming advCoA and advCoC with his awakening. Overall though the awakening is pretty fucking broken, I mean it literally breaks logic.

Blackbeard explosed him as nothing more than glorified internal destruction Haki user. I was telling people stop overrating that Kroom shit..Big Moms skin is durable not fucking Organs and AoE doesn't mean shit here.

What do we know..Pre skip G2 Level durability guy laughs off Kroom attack.

Comparing that to Ashura (30 broken bones nerfed) that tore straight through Kaidos scales..most durable skin in manga is just sad.
