The best part of G5 is that Luffy can now use G4 punches/techniques freely and without any limits or having to jump into specific forms.

Vegapunk already talked about the potential drawback that Zoan users can go through, that they can go insane because of the animal/mythical being they turn into.
That's probably something Luffy will have to work on in the future, if it means taking things more seriously in fights and not letting stuff like Sentomaru being taken out on his watch happen again.
