reveals im certain are true and will happen in my headcanon and ill be sad to never see in the manga:
- shanks cut his own arm off to apologize to his bosses for losing the gum gum fruit offscreen before jumping in the water to save luffy. this was the plan he hinted at with benn beckman
- luffy used conquerors haki in chapter 1 when he called shanks a coward. this is actually what finally convinced him luffy was the right one for his plans
- shanks is trying to use luffy to fulfill a prophecy, their conflict will arise from luffy always fighting fate and naturally hating this
