On what basis we can compare Mihawk and Shanks in canon universe?
One has fought once, the other has NEVER fought except chapter 1.
How can they be compared?
The only thing we know about shanks is that he fought with mihawk in thenapst with two arms, and he stopped Kaido at marineford.
That's it.
Oh and also tore Kidd arms.

So since Crocodile saw Luffy unworthy of a fight means Luffy < crocodile?
Interesting theory.
If we take any declaration at face value, specially shit talk, then buggy is the strongest EOS.
I prefer keeping a logic that what is shown is what it is, and we have never saw shanks fight, except knowing his crew can stop kaido's, hence kaido is close to shanks.
I don't think there is any logical base to compare the two based on feats.

Now I understand Mihawk never wanted to be a captain of anything but Oda only has Mihawk allying instead of leading, even with the warlords he wasn't leading anything but working under the WG
Now in MF war, there were 2 characters with the "Worlds strongest title" and only one of them lived up to the hype, which was Whitebeard (Leader of his own clique)
So despite there being another worlds strongest title holder, one looked much inferior and that was Mihawk
I'm talking about this..
Mihawk's slash was aimed at Whitebeard but the Geezer was smiling and got stopped by his underling (Jozu)
not only that, throughout MF Mihawk was just seen combating with commanders while WB and the Admirals were seen as the strongest in the battlefield
Now Mihawk is just an ally, not even a leader
Just out of pure speculation, Mihawk is nearly a big deal as big mom is, let alone the notorious Monster Kaido and Whitebeard

and certainly not WB who you conveniently called an exception, and kaido both of whom had the title of the world strongest pirate
which is of higher precedence than what Mihawk's title is.
I will say also this , I feel like there this tendency for you lot to place Mihawk on a higher pedestal than what he really is. As a fan,you can like a character without elevating them to levels they just aren't put on.
