there's no world building in jojo and i've already finished reading part 8, it's usually just the gang going from point A to B and fighting some enemies with cool stands, it's my favorite manga and i know what i'm talking about

We're not going to convince each other lol. The best I can say is being based on the real world means some of it is inherently unoriginal. But it's not like you can explain how Alabasta has a deeper cast than Naples, that Shougeki no Sanji is a better spin off than Rohan, or that completely reinventing the world doesn't take some significant ingenuity.
