Just know that becoming a mod would mean:
1) all fanbases will begin to hate you, accusing you of bias and protecting other fanbases
2) the behavior of some members will change; some will start to suck up while others get more aggressive.
3) You'll continuously see the dumbest shit of the forum from every fanbase, every corner, every angle.
4) Your opinion of some members will most definitely change for the worst
5) Being over the age of 80 is highly recommended

There’s an old adage about writing - if someone tells you there’s something wrong with your work, they’re almost certainly right; if they tell you how to fix it, they’re almost certainly wrong…should the moderation system be overhauled?? Yeah, probably. Are any of the suggestions in this thread worth exploring?? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha 
And there are real consequences for taking such drastic and crazy measures because someone said something you disagree with. The better option would be to go somewhere else where you don't have to hear whatever hurt your little feelings. What I meant was you have no right to silence anyone, you have no authority over someone else's right to speak freely either verbally or on the internet. Words are just words unless used as a threat of violence, even then it's debatable, some make idle threats that they neither intend to nor are capable of following through on, but most will choose to eliminate the threat rather than being eliminated by it.
As for your insane comment about threatening to poison children, In some places it's perfectly legal to kill someone for threatening you or your family and in most places people won't care if it's legal or not so you should be careful going that route.

But what if the person threatened me to poison my children? Am I allowed to kill (or poison) that person?
There are also real consequences to insulting someone: the consequence is getting killed or poisoned, for example with cyanide in lemonade.

1. I'll misgender anyone who doesn't make it obvious what chromosomes they were born with. I will do so without any remorse.
2. If someone threatens to poison your children I would suggest a more efficient method of eliminating the threat as for if you're allowed to or not, probably not depending on the circumstances, if they pose a credible threat to your family that requires your intervention and doesn't allow you the time to take other measures such as contacting the authorities then you probably won't have any poison on hand and should probably use lethal force.
