You need a brain to read something which you currently lack.
What do you call someone who hates One Piece, doesn't like it, won't tell others to read it but can't spend 1 day without talking about it, comes every spoiler thread and talks bs? A Loser. Thats what you call them, a big fat Loser.

I'd probably just go on about my favourite characters, about devil fruits and the grand line.
I think showing them the intro with Gol D. Roger explaining about his treasure and the Great Pirate Era staring would suffice. If it doesn't intrigue them and the opening seems boring to them then I'd suggest reading to Arlong Park. If they don't care for any of it including Walk To Arlong Park then it may not be for them.
