Because thus far... the ONLY POSSIBLY hinted character who can affect Kaido in this war is Luffy with his advanced armament and STILL we all know it will not be enough... Kidd might pull it through the same as Luffy (OR LESS, not more than him)

And if Calamities were NOT HYPE TOOLS... that Means both of Luffy/Kidd will sustain a great amount of injuries

Now... if you want to try to convince me that "Luffy who came out of mirror world in that bad shape" can face against a FRESH YONKO and even LIVE TO TELL THE TALE... that is more bad than Chopper defeating Queen... just so you know! Not Zoro or Sanji even LOL

Not being hype tool means heavy wounds and injuries.... Luffy and Kidd are the TWO MAIN FIGHTERS of the alliance... meaning.. if they are NOT in good shape to face Yonko... NO matter the amount of help they get from random ass guys.... they will not do jack shit to those Yonko... and if Oda did that... it's again, WORSE writing than freaking Chopper beating Queen and Usopp sniping King and defeating them...

Zoro fighting Kanjuro before his real match-up? Sure. Kanjuro as Zoro's main opponent? Hell no.

I mean no, its just that Zoro hasn't really faced defeat in the new world yet. He lost against killer and gyukimaru but he's yet to be straight up overpowered.

1. Zoro didn't lose against either of those opponents, so you're already off to a terrible start.

We saw in WCI and then again in wano how Luffy getting his ass handed to him has forced him to become far stronger than he used to be. Getting dominated was the driving force behind Luffy unlocking both forms of advanced haki. Zoro has yet to face something similar to Luffy against Cracker or Katakuri, where he's had to use his strongest form and its done absolutely nothing.

Luffy still ended up beating those opponents of his. The point is overcoming great struggle, not getting overpowered and losing. If you want to see Zoro struggle so bad, then give him a worthy opponent who forces him to evolve. Someone like King. It's not rocket science.

Looking over the thread, you seem so adamant on Zoro vs. Kanjuro based on the flimsiest reasons. You want Zoro to struggle so bad yet want him to fight people he's clearly superior to. I don't get you.

Narratively, Zoro/Sanji versus top 2 makes the most sense.

But I'm prepared to be disappointed because realistically, Luffy will fight them as a stepping stone to Kaido because Oda gives Luffy all the fights.

If Kanjuro does get a fight, I doubt Oda will waste a chapter on him. It'll be like Law VS Fujitora and Doflamingo. It'll intermix with the plot chapters.

He doesn’t need to, he already beat a YC1 and recently reached an even higher level thanks to his training. How it would help him to fight King and Queen at this point ?
