Polls are unfortunately restriced to 25 subjects.
Not sure if I understand what you mean correctly, but I was going into this event knowing this method won't lead to a 100% accurate result....However, if you take the top 10 for example, to figure out the order I just go by the amount of votes each character received.
Like I mentioned, I'm aware that it's not entirely accurate, because the votes are applied based on the people choosing their top 5 and not because they arrange their personal top 10 (which is not possible with this method anyway)- but the amount of votes each characters receives comparatively, is a good indicator to figure out the approximate placement for each character.....
Ok let me propose a top 30 then or even 25, cause 50 might be excessive for this. ~30 might still include fan favourites like Sanji the Warlords and commanders. 50 starts getting into irrelevant status and might stretch the event longer than desired. Keep in mind this current event would have served a purpose either way.
-The idea is to vote in order, so start a thread to vote for the strongest character, and work your way down to the 30th.
-Take the top 10 list from this poll, have everyone
vote for 1 character only. Who they think is the strongest.
-Then in the following thread exclude the winner of the previous poll so there are only 9 remaining options in the current poll (or you can take the 11th character or more and toss them in). And everyone votes for who they think is the strongest among these 9 (
again lock to 1 vote per person). Winner of that poll would be ranked 2nd.
Rince and repeat. So you would have 30 threads of this kind, placing each character in a slot (honestly you can adjust the number as you see fit, even if you want to do just a top 10 for example). And this current event would have served it's purpose for setting up polls for the ranking event (but if it's 25 characters at a time, that allows for more freedom anyway, you can simply have the top 25 in each thread removing the previous winner everytime).
Imo that would be much cooler and much more competitive, it would give you an accurate assessment of this communities top 30 characters. The way it is set up now we don't have a clear idea, basically we're just voting to see who is top 1.
Also the extended event would be convenient for pinging people since there would only be 1 thread up at a time.
