Mihawk is a mentor, he's lost his tension as an enemy. He's like one of those old dudes who talks about back in the day how they used to fight instead of kill each other. Mihawk and Zoro set up their little dream duel together and that's a pretty boring challenge vs something bigger and meaner out there.
So then who is currently the swordsman Ho can defeat every single swordsman on the planet. Like right now in the story. Who is the person Zoro has to beat to be the pinnacle of power among swordsmen in the world

So Shiryu was the strongest swordsman on the face of the entire planet all along?
no, but the Gandhi(its spelled h after d, in case any of y'all didn't know) easily could be.

The gorosei probably haven't fought in many years. If they really are immortal then they might not have fought for even centuries.

Their powerlevel is unknown and hence titles of the one piece world don't apply to them. This is also the reason why Imu could be stronger than Kaido or whitebeard.

Apparently there's this theory going around that Mihawk is not the WSS or that their exists swordsmen stronger than Mihawk.

Now let's get this out of the way. Zoro will be the STRONGEST SWORDSMAN ON THE FACE OF THE PLANET at the end of the series. As in no single swordsman alive will be stronger than Zoro at the end of the series.

So now since Mihawk is apparently (to some people) not the strongest swordsman. Who is this Strongest Swordsman who Zoro will defeat at the end of the series.
Why you didn't include Swordsmen Gorosei?

People think that Zoro is going to fight against Mihawk in the last chapters of One Piece but that is BS. Mihawk can't be bigger challenge for Zoro than the main antagonists of the story. What is the point of strowhats defeating the main villains if it isn't their toughest challenge? Defeating WG is the hardest thing ever, if it was easy it would have been done earlier. BB on the other hand have the potential to become even more powerful than Marians and challenge the entire world which will be saved by strowhats.
The antagonists should be the biggest challenge for the Main characters, defeating them should be something impossible there's even chance that they might die after defeating them. So will become the WSS quite soon, I'd say after Wano since Mihawk is camander level, maybe Mihawk will be killed by Shiriu and Zoro will defeat him, the point is, is that Zoro will face people that are more powerful than Mihawk like Admirals, Gorosei, BB pairets etc. Zoro will be Admiral level at the end of the Story.

I never said that Zoro blamed Mihawk, I said that Zoro will not cry revenge for someone who took his left eye and left a big ass scar on his chest.

I personally think it is sad that Zoro will seemingly never have a chance to beat Mihawk himself, the same way he never beat Kuina himself even tho the fight with Mihawk his set up since chapter 51...only because it is more « convenient ».
Meaning Mihawk was never the Strongest swordsman to begin with so it doesn't matter.

Zoro wants to be the Strongest swordsman. These imposters are nothing

We don't have a confirmation on anyone but Mihawk if that's what you're trying to ask. Why does that have a chance to change? Why did Zoro's initial goal of surpassing Kuina change? Why does anything in the endgame have a chance of changing vs being the way it was stated twenty years ago?

What does this mean? A pure sword fight? What does this mean and where is the panel this is stated as Mihawk's goal
Mihawk asked Zoro to surpass his sword. He's waiting for someone to do that.

World's Strongest Swordsman

Are you saying Zoro will fight a weaker swordsman than Mihawk just becausw he got trained by Mihawk and the series will end with Mihawk as the strongest swordsman
Mihawk won't stay strongest until the end. Did wb and kaidou stay strongest until the end of the manga? No. Even shanks will fall

Mihawk right now îs hunted down by marines. Maybe greenbull or fujitora will beat him now

Zoro's initial goal as always to be the strongest swordsman. The only thing that changed was that he thought he would fight kuina for that when they grew up.

Mihawk asked Zoro to surpass his blade because mihawk uses a blade. Where is the panel that describes that Mihawk wants a "pure sword fight"? And what does "pure sword fight" mean?

He wants a duel, a fight with swords. You're overthinking this bud.

Yeah, Luffy's goal aside from becoming pirate king in general was surpassing Shanks. Now that we have the rise of Blackbeard, Imu, and Akainu the end can play out differently than we would have thought before.

Mihawk at this point has more in common with Ray than those characters.
