Questions & Mysteries Why did Oda save logia awakenings for so late in the story?

#1
1070+ chapters have gone by. And yet we haven’t seen an awakened logia in the story.

We’ve seen advanced observation haki, awakened paramecias, awakened zoans, advanced armament haki, advanced conqueror’s haki, etc.

But not one single awakened logia.

What could be the reason for this? Of course, I have my own idea why (it’s absolutely broken and requires the highest level of COC to counter), but obviously I’m biased.

Logia Awakenings is for endgame as it's the strongest type of Devil Fruit category.

Can't wait till it reveals that Akainu and Aokiji uses Domain Expansion (Awakenings) against each other in Punk Hazard.:myman:

You already have the explanation of how Logia works (and Katakuri has almost same properties) and how Haki works.
And why Katakuri was immune to Luffy's Haki attacks at first.
With Akainu was exactly the same situation. I even think Oda did FS based on that scene and Aokiji's scene with WB, so it can fit if we go looking back.

You simply want to make you headcanon happening and that's why you "doubt" lol.

And yet here we are 670 chapters later with no idea about logia awakenings and still do not know everything about advanced haki.

This is a non-argument.

Oda wrote those scenes back when he had the idea that everyone would specialize primarily in a single type of haki.

I can see the argument for Kuzan but not Sakazuki since there’s a 0% chance his specialty would have been observation. He MAY have future sight but I highly doubt that scene is an indication.
