Yes, admirals are to the Goroseis what the YC1 are to the YONKOUS...
Yonkous > Old Goroseis > Admirals on Prime.
The fact that even old Goroseis are superior to admirals is not alarming because we have had cases where:
- Akainu receives 2 shots from an old, injured and sick Whitebeard.
- Kizaru is prevented from fulfilling the task ordered by his superiors because of Rayleigh, who according to Sentomaru and Kizaru himself was facing him on an equal footing.
- Garp claimed to want to kill Sakazuki in Marnineford the tragedy just didn't happen because his friend and FA sengoku had to use all his strength just to hold Garp.

If the Gorosei aren't actually immortal and are regular people, then where did the two of them get their scars? With the exception of Rociante, who joined the Marines after he was disinherited, we've never had a confirmed noble or royal, much less a CD, actually shown to be in the Marines or Cipher Pol, or what have you.
