how in fuck name Kaido did it in same same timeframe
when Shanks was 1 years old ... Kaido was part of God valley war

Shanks at age 33 = Yonko
Akainu at age 33 = Vice Admiral (while having a DF)
if you want to compare talent .... only so few people can be anything more than 0 to Shanks
clearly Akainu ain't one of them

I understand the points, but don't quite get the conclusion you're trying to achieve with this @Red Admiral
I think Kaido's stronger 1v1, but Shanks the more successful pirate.

that was my point ... why Shanks is a better Pirate than Kaido
cause Kaido started with a lot of heads up ... and yet Shanks reached him in terms of piracy "on his own and without cheat codes" ... and a list to explain those disadvantages that gave Kaido the heads up
why it's so hard to believe I don't want to use this thread to talk about power level?
+20 years is not relatively equivalent time frame
Luffy and Urouge started in same time .... it's not about age ... it's about how soon the started their pirate life
20 years ago Kaido was King of wano with big army and ally and personal power
20 years ago Shanks was a normal kid who was a good fighter but with no one to help him being a pirate
and 20 years later
they stand equal in pirate world ....
how is that not a clear thing to prove "Shanks is the greater pirate"?

I have them on the same level with Mihawk and Whitebeard and Roger and other top tiers , Whitebeard and Roger have arguments to put them above Kaido u can find 90 percent of the fandom doing that ; but as for Shanks vs Kaido is concerned like what @MarineHQ said Killer is smart and he was already present in the confrontation against Shanks , with that u can put Kaido above him but it's still an extreme diff , another issue can be presented is Kaido using Dragon form to play around and he even did that against Luffy who went toe to toe with him if shanks found a chance to use an attack on TT LEVEL , Kaido is dead so another oden's case ; that's the issue with Kaido's powerscaling .
