nah, people who make comments like that are being transphobic AF.
Anyone can commit sexual assault. Hyper-fixating on trans people implies that trans people are somehow more dangerous than the average person, when this simply isn't true.

The overall narrative that the right has in regards to trans people is borderline genocidal. Look at their talking points:

• "drag queens are pedophiles"
• "gender affirming care for children is genital mutilation"
• "trans people are predators"

And then you wonder why lgbt people get murdered. It's this. This narrative is basically arguing for the extermination of trans people, and even if most right wingers in the media won't outright say it, they all but imply it.
