The term ‘waka’ is more of a polite and formal term for the young master. The word ‘bocchan’ is generally used in a more of a ‘non-formal’ way and is used by the servant to address the young lord in an informal, friendly like manner. The word does not get used if there is not much of a ‘friendly like’ relationship between both.
