Marines had an overwhelming victory over WB.They didn't lose any important fighter.WB died,Ace died,Jozu lost an army,another commander got koed by Akainu,Luffy and Jinbe almost died.Marines looke unbeatable there.

I’m talking about why they publically announced aces execution at Marineford. It was to show the world that whitebeard and his armada doesn’t intimidate them. Otherwise they’d lose face if they did it secretly or in a favorable location, it makes them look scared

Luffy fights Kaido for an extended period of time against Kaido in Gear 5.







Luffy in Gear 5 for 5 minutes and he's dying now. It's like Oda has to try find ways to nerf Luffy each arc otherwise he'd just kick the shit out of all the enemies.

Luffy did not fight Kaido for that long in g5. He fought for like 4 minutes wemt out of it and Kaido couldn't attack him cause he was tired then went back n fought again for like 5 more minutes
