Yeah that really bothered me. This is the 1st defeat of a Yonko and not even that but two of them! Kaido who absolutely terrorised Wano for decades and they saw the full impact of that there plus they heard all about it from Kinemon back in Punk Hazard, they saw how traumatised Momo is, they saw how Jack FUCKED up Zou completely, brutalised/maimed the Dukes, gassed the minks and so on.
They also knew about Big Mom from Fishman Island at least, plus characters like Jinbei, Brook, Robin would be familiar with or about her at least too.

Half of the SHs didnt even meet Big Mom and they immediately didn't take her seriously unlike other major opponents they faced, some of them had no fear, saw her as fodder and clowned her immediately. Just like that.

Zoro at least should have been fucking PISSED that they even brought Big Mom and thus another Yonko to Wano, when they were already struggling with a 30% chance to succeed plan against Kaido (wtf was even that plan?) and desperately need as much of an alliance and numbers as they could, especially with Kaido and especially Orochi also screwing them over whilst they were there lol.

Characters don't need to rely on one specific ability to fight u know

Kaido was trying to melt Luffy as his last resort, literally nothing to do with Haki, but Devil Fruit power

Also, there is something important to notice, i have not seen Sanji properly touch Queen in Ifrit Jambe


Those attacks can even cause literal explosions (such as Boeuf Burst)

2 Yonkos dont just disappear off the map, WBs death had more an impact of the OP world than Kaidos and BMs. You could argue that WB had widespread territories and allies and that helped, but Kaido and BM are not exactly secrets in the OP world either, they ruled a quarter of the New World or so each, kept up the stalemate/cold war or w/e with the other Yonkos there.

Fishman Island is completely liberated from Big Moms tyranny too, but its been so underwhelming so far. 2 new Yonkos were just added like that too. Shanks doesnt even seem bothered Kaido and BM from what I remember either. How are people not confused and freaking out over 2 new Yonkos instead? Kaido and BM being replaced and seemingly "disappearing"? Word must have gotten around too, its been long enough.

Hes the last remaining original Yonko and all hes doing is bullying an Admiral with his crew and being all mysterious/vague whilst also deciding to go bully a randomand MUCH weaker ally of Luffy too.

Over 10 years of build up for this. I dread to think how deflating and disappointing the OP finale will be now too.

I've never been more scared for the Admirals, Shanks, Blackbeard, Mihawk etc as I am now.

They dont have to rely on one ability that doesnt mean advcoc wont break sanjis abilities any less when his whole thing is to kick with flames or kick with flames but in a different color.
Making his flames stay at a distance from the opponent makes them pointless

Oda really let the readers down with how he handled the rise of Luffy to emperor status and the fall of Kaido and Big Mom. We know the achievement is crazy but it *almost* felt like a footnote.
It was actually the moment where it would have made perfect sense to dedicate a chapter or two focused on characters all over the world reacting to the news.

Right?! I waited SO LONG to see Luffy become a Yonko and standing amongst these giants of the One Piece world (not the literal giants ofc), to be equal to fucking Shanks himself and thus Shanks being AMAZED that his boy Luffy has become (al)mighty enough to stand equal to him, to not just become a great pirate but someone who can actually contest/challenge him too! And thus defeat him even!

This is like Zoro beating Mihawk and just being like "eh whatever, who's next?" and looking for another opponent immediately. Zoro becomes the WSS and thats it, no big celebration or recognition and also acceptance of accomplishing his and Kuinas dreams, fulfilling what she always wanted to in his own humanly possible way ofc.

The story used to center about Roger, piracy, adventure and such but now its all about Rocks Pirates, Imu especially, the World Government, worldwide politics, prophecies, ancient lore and whatever else, just kill me at this point lol. I really miss the much simpler days of One Piece, now its FAR too convoluted, bloated, elongated and such and suffers greatly for it.

I really loved it when OP just focused on the SHs, the adventure, the chemistry, the bonds, big emotional moments for them, the sheer but masterfully written simplicity of it all. Now its far too complex for its own good and the SHs are glorified side characters absolutely most of the time.

The fact we still know so little about black blades and how to get one and that Zoro still hasnt managed to make one drives me insane. Not to mention the lack of swordsmen opponents for him, especially in a fucking country of Samurai and so on. I wouldn't put it past Oda to retcon Zoro and give him a new dream, a new direction given how little we know about him, the fact he has no known parents in the story, he's still the ONLY known Roronoa in the story and the whole focus on clones right now is not helping his case either.

I still think that is irrelevant

Oda calling the chapter "Warrior of Science" has a pretty straight forward meaning

Sanji refused to become a Germa soldier, who could also be considered a "warrior of science" or whatever (as Sanji himself said it), he obviously didn't choose for any of that to happen, but this still doesn't change how Oda interprets it.

Luffy - Warrior of "Liberation"

"Liberation" has to do with Sun God Nika, the Mythical Zoan DF

Sanji - Warrior of "Science"

"Science" has to do with abilities achieved through lineage factor manipulation

You think it makes no sense because agenda sanji himself said either himself who cant fight women or a ruthless warrior of science he chose himself so hes no warrior of science lol
