How did Pound survive? It is likely somehow connected to the fact that him and the tarte ship are of a conspicuously smaller size than they normally would. Note that a tonatta ship should be comparable to the size of a normal human, somewhat bigger. Now a tarte ship would completely dwarf the size of the tontatta ship. However, from the way it’s drawn, it’s drawn from a bird’s-eye view from the perspective of the Tontatta ship, meaning that the two ships appearing to be of a similar relative size means that it is so. There is even a tontatta holding a spyglass to get a better look(!) This is quite a no-brained point in fact so I’ll just leave it at that. Whatever saved Pound from Oven’s death stroke may likely be related to him and his ship shrinking on account of something or someone.

Pound is big that's why tarte ship looks small i guess, but how did he survive? He was struck by oven's glaive and if he survived that how did he manage to get a tarte ship and survive the rough seas of new world?, guess he's pell version 2

yeah but the tontattas are like 20cm tall, so the whole perspective is completely off. Either it’s Oda not drawing correctly or the tarte ship along with him having shrunk.

Man i like you, i really do. But you gotta use your analysis powers on something thats worth it. One piece is pretty fucking straightforward. Wanna theorize and create good discussion? Go to hunter x hunter if you havent read it already.

The OP story and world building is so interesting though, so I can’t help but have huge expectations for it and perhaps extrapolate things too deeply. But yeah, you’re probably right that OP is a lot more uncomplicated and relatively straightforward. I’ll check out Hunger Hunter after I’m done with deathnote
