It's not usual for me to make Mihawk thread..
Anyway

Since the Strongest title holder usually ends up dying because they either got replace or don't have anymore relevance towards the story after they got beaten.
Mihawk is no exception.
After he lost to Zoro...... him still being alive has no relevance anymore and a bit weird to his character

He's the type of person who will be statisfied with what he already achieved in his life and will mostly likely have preferred to die maybe(??) after new King has come take his place.
Imo it's 95% chance he die.
But dying against who?? Zoro?? Or others

I want him to die, will he? I doubt Oda hasn't killed less important characters, why would he kill a guy that Oda keep close to his chest?

There's the whole surpassing the old and passing the torch thing.

A final battle for the WSS against Zoro has to be one to a extreme diff where one dies to pay off the hype.

But I don't think Oda has the balls to kill Mihawk even in the final battle.

If Mihawk is not Zoro final final fight he really has to die, it would feel shitty.

If he is the final fight it don't matter anyway the manga would end soon.

The worst fate possible for Mihakw is dying/losing to someone else that Zoro, that is the most shit out all outcomes, it spit on Zoro trajectory and Mihawk WSS plot.

I feel like Oda is too much of a Zoro fanboy to disrespect Zoro goal like that

I am hoping we see a conviction/will so strong in mihawk the only way he would lose is if he would die in battle. Maybe oda can do it another way but imo tension is necessary and if there relationship just stays master/pupil it won't be much tension as we all know zoro will win, sure zoro could break yoru but idk if that would be enough for me personally unless oda builds up mihawk/yoru to high heavens before they fight.

The title is not necessarily ''strongest'', other name for that title is ''Dai Kengou'' which is Greatest Swordsman, so Mihawk's scared bum ass can feel safe as he is already scared to fight people and don't even dare to try to be Yonko due to wanting a peaceful life.

All Yonko owns this bum, even a clown become a Yonko over him.

The moment Zoro and Mihawk's relationship changed from rival to a mentor/target to surpass the notion of Mihawk dying to Zoro was thrown out of the window.

Thats how pathetic he is for staying underling publicly for a clown like that. Just because he wants a peaceful life.

The moment Mihawk spared Zoro's life was the moment the possibility of Zoro killing him was thrown out the window. Zoro has literally never killed a major enemy of his on-screen but he would do it with the ONE guy that explicitly spared him at the beginning of the story?

Yeah right! The biggest thing that MIGHT happen? Is Zoro cutting off one of Mihawks arms with his final finishing move. But killing him?

Was never gonna happen from the moment their first battle ended.

Isn't the reason Mihawk allowed Zoro to live is to test himself against a better Swordman? So if he loses to Zoro it does not mean he won't try to surpass Zoro. Unless what he wants is a last battle against someone "STRONGER" than what he and Shanks couldn't achieve and to test if hes able to beat that person aka "Zoro".

Right I mean that was a given but I feel like their relationship shifting into a mentor/student type only reinforced the idea that Zoro would never kill him.
