It would make a lot of sense if the one who is offing these snails is Saturn.
It seems to be some explosive ability just by grabbing the snails. Whether it is something remote or he is inside the lab already, it would make sense why his orders are superior to Punks and why he wants everyone else offed in the lab.

I am sure Kizaru would have 0 trouble going through the dome's defensive system but how Saturn would do it is unclear.
I hope the next chapter moves the plot significantly because we are moving at snail's speed so far.
I doubt Caribou is behind this all.

I am not hell bent on proving either of them stronger. All I wanted to point out is that there is no actual superiority of Akainu over Kizaru.
From what I have seen so far, Kizaru looks like more capable to me. Whether he is stronger in Oda's mind, remains to be seen.
But claiming that Akainu is stronger because of promotion and for beating Aokiji is simply wrong.
