They really butchered it King was so intimidating in the manga his epic terminator walk didn't give off nearly same feeling not sure if the animators even read those chapters. King hybrid also looked a lot better in the manga overall really disappointing episode imo

Someone should recommend those poor guys to at least read colored manga chapters of this
Toei going overboard on some episodes bringing all their best animators, while not caring the least about other maybe they should split their best staff so we can get consistently good animated episodes instead

yeah the manga has more impact

Toei going overboard on some episodes bringing all their best animators, while not caring the least about other maybe they should split their best staff so we can get consistently good animated episodes instead

But they're doing that...its just that its really difficult to animate every episode really well. Even this episode had two standout bits of animation.

Zoro vs King did get a really nice sakuga scene this episode(it was only 20 seconds though sadly).

I also do know a guy who did a few cuts on the episode from discord. He is a really good artist, but this is his first animation credit.

I will never understand why they gave Yamato vs Kaido godly animation but are giving the beginning of Zoro and Sanji’s fights and presumably Sanji awakening his exoskeleton such lackluster animation
