Talking about cinema, here is a funny thing i know.
There is a site named Screenrant, where i read articles about franchises of pop culture that i like.
Recently with the debut of Wednesday on Netflix and Puss in Boots 2 on theaters, someone on the site described both as lackluster in their review of them even as both were very well received by critics.
Now i am reading people in the forum saying the new Ant Man is shit, but Screenrant described it as a very good movie in their review.
Isn't this crazy?

Haven't seen Wednesday, seems very much targeted at younger audiences. And the Tiktok Goth Girl trend is kinda cringe to me.

Watched Puss in Boots 2 yesterday, really good movie, but i think it was a bit overhyped by people. I still think Into the Spider-Verse is better. I think Goldi and The Bears + Jack Horner weren't as great as the rest of the characters and plot, and because they got a bunch of screen time, i didn't enjoy them as much as the rest of the cast, i just kept wishing we got back to those other characters. Wolf/Death was great, as a Brazilian, Wagner Moura is the goat.

I don't think Ant Man was shit, just pretty mid / average. I think people have a hard on for hating Marvel right now, so they amplify how bad the movie was. IMO other stuff like Eternals + Doctor Strange + Love and Thunder had more problems than Ant-Man. What they did to MODOK was fucking stupid though, especially the character 180 redemption arc at the end with the "don't be a dick" speech.
