I rather have the impression that for many reasons it is desirable that the population decreases. According to researcher Shanna Swan, by 2045, most western men will also be infertile. It is more likely that humans will be bred in test tubes in the future.
Yeah that's the best bet, I'm referring to worst case scenario as we're relying on technology's to progress to create artificial womb and test tubes

Btw why would Western Men be infertile?

sorry if you've no interest, I just wanna know how y'all weigh in on this
I have never heard about this movement. Is it just about not having kids?

IMHO not every fertile adult having kids is the reasonable choice in our times.
There are enough people, the planet can't sustain all of them.

Western men in general for the particular research referring to after 2000.
Pollution
Stress

Pretty obvious, no!?
But some dummies turn it into a political topic and blame 'less manliness', feminism or soy products :lawsigh:

Yah, it's had nothing to do with politics but because it's now been given a political element it's a controversial topic that politicians will bring into their agenda

The big problem is that they don't grab the issues by the root.
Want better sperm count and fertility? Easy, reduce pollutants in agriculture, ensure food security for everyone, ban pesticides + GMOs, reduce toxic chemicals in industry, reduce plastic use etc

Want more people to have children? Then don't make it hard for them to raise the child, make it easy for women to go back to work without having to neglect the child, establish paternal leave, build a society that is welcoming to children.

But what do they do instead?
Fertility treatments with frozen spern and eggs, surrogate pregnancy and all that weird stuff.

Then mass immigration, destroying entire cultural identities, forcing people from 3rd world countries on arduous journeys where most of them die miserable deaths. These people wouldn't come if we, the 1St world countries weren't responsible for most pollution, causing climate change, droughts, rise of sea levels. Additionally, the west fuels local and proxy wars, making many countries so unstable that war doesn't end for decades. Ofc people will want to leave such places, can we blame them?

Or even worse, let's pretend to care for kids and the future of the economy by preventing abortions(AND PROMOTE ADOPTION, which is fucking up just as many kids and creating worse adults) and encouraging kids to be born into horrible housing with pathetic parents.

Many people today, even in industrial nations, cannot afford children.

Why raise a child in absolute misery?

And then they blame the young generation for supposedly hating 'traditional' ways of life.
