Some years ago I watched a video of an Indian woman committing suicide.
She had locked herself in a room that had some kind of fence for a door. Other people aka her husband and his family were able to see her but couldn't get in.
They were yelling at her, hurling insults, the mother in law was particularly loud, obnoxious and verbally abusive. Some family members were filming with their phones.
The woman didn't react to any of their bs. She calmly formed a noose out of her scarf, tied it to something above her head and then hanged herself. Completely chill. No struggling of noises while dying either.
As she was hanging there, slowly dying, her husband and his family were still yelling and insulting her.
Instead of trying to get help, someone who could help them break open the massive iron fence, they preferred to keep filming, laughing at and insulting the woman.
One can only imagine what this woman must have gone through during this marriage.
